Momentous New York Debut

May 1st to May 5th 2019 was a significant week for Siris Hill: His first international exhibition, his first time travelling in over 14 years and his first public talk took place on the world famous blocks of Broadway, New York City, at the Moniker International Art Fair.

Some highlights of Siris’ experience included,

  • receiving broad critical acclaim for his work

  • being able to use his art as a platform for mental health discussion, which drew tears, hours of gazing and meaningful dialogue amongst visitors and collectors

  • making connections with new industry professionals, including The Met, who offered Siris a personal tour of their collection

  • being the subject of two collector tours by Moniker Art Fair Director, Tina Ziegler, who spent several minutes sharing Siris’ story, describing why she loves his work and asserting that Siris is one to watch over the next few years…

  • selling multiple pieces to new collectors

  • receiving several rounds of applause during his public Q&A

  • being tattooed by the brilliant Sarah Gaugler, who designed a brand-new piece to commemorate Siris’ journey and his time in New York

  • comparisons to Rembrant from visitors of the fair
